Welcome to the Richland Area Beekeepers Association.

With over 75 members, our association is growing to offer you a regional club with fantastic opportunities to interact with other beekeeping hobbyists. Some of our members are just getting started as beekeepers, and some have enjoyed this hobby for years. We all share a common interest in the wonderful and remarkable world of the honey bee.

The purpose of the RABA is to provide our membership with interesting and practical information combined with our collective shared experience about honey bees and the "how-to's" of beekeeping. The club also provides the general public with educational programs about honey bees and the benefits of bees and beekeeping in our communities.

All meetings are held on the third Tuesday of every month spring thru winter. Being a cold weather climate we typically do not meet December and January. Our regular meeting place is the Richland County Longview Center. We meet at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted on our calendar. Most meetings last one to one and a half hours. A typical meeting would consist of the notes being read of the last month, followed by a member or featured speaker talking about specific bee topics followed by a social interaction time which usually features refreshments and free cookies.
